Spring Term 2012
Belated 'Happy New Year' to you all and welcome back!
Welcome to our new parents/carers and children, we hope you will enjoy your time at Crich Pre-School.
Just to remind you that we have an 'open door' policy so if you have any concerns or worries come and see us, we will do our best to help.
We also hold a 'drop in' on Wednesday afternoon from 12.30 –1.00 p.m should you wish to come in and have a 'chat'.
Topic
Our topic for this term will be 'Around the home'.
We will be looking at many things, including re-cycling, why we do this and how it is done.
We will be talking about safety in the home and how children can keep themselves safe.
Items used around the home and why....
Parents/carers and grandparent
Do you have any special talents you would like to share with the pre-school children? (and us!). Maybe you are musical, or brilliant at baking, singing, gardening, dancing or you enjoy telling a good story!
Everyone is good at something!
If you feel you would like to get involved occasionally for a short session let us know!
Show and Tell
We know the children love show and tell, and some of their stories are so funny.....
It would be great if they would bring something in which corresponds with the letter of the week, if not then whatever they are happy to 'show and tell!'
Adverse weather
Please let us know if you have not received your 'adverse weather' letter. Hopefully we will stay snow free this year!
Water bottles/outdoor clothingl
Would you please ensure that your child's/ren's names are on their drinks bottles/outdoor clothing etc... sometimes it get's confusing!
Nativity Play
And finally, we hope you enjoyed the little nativity play. Many thanks to all of you for the wonderful costumes you bought or made for your children, they all looked so cute!
Several of the children enjoyed performing for you so much, that they asked if they could do the play again!!
So we are going to be looking into having two performances and a different story for the 2012 play.
