To help provide the best start in life for the children of our area, by creating an outstanding pre-school at the heart of our community.
We provide high quality care and education for children aged between two and five years. We believe in the value of childhood. Children need freedom and time to play because play underpins all learning and development for young children. Therefore, learning through play is at the heart of all that we do. We use the children’s interests to create a fun, attractive and welcoming environment where children feel safe and supported to explore the world around them. We understand the importance of the role of the adult in enhancing young children’s learning. Our highly experienced and dedicated staff each have between 9-25 years of experience in childcare and are led by a qualified teacher.
We believe in ensuring that the grown ups feel as much a part of Crich Pre-School as their children do and know how daunting it can be to leave your child in a new environment for the first time. To help you settle in as well as your child, you will be greeted by one of our “Meet and Greet Mummies” at the start of your child’s first session to ensure you know where everything goes and have chance to ask any questions you might like to be answered from a parent’s point if view. We use the Tapestry online system to share the children’s learning journeys with home in the form of photographs and observations and really enjoy reading comments made on them. We welcome parents and carers coming in to share their talents and enthusiasms with the children during our sessions, if this is something you’d like to do please let us know. We also love to have a chat at pick-up and have an open door policy to encourage open communication and feedback. If you have any enquiries, worries or concerns, or just want to pop your head round the door to see what we’re up to, please come along at a time that suits you, someone will always be available to help.
